hi,
i want to learn how to act for the purpose of performing magic. i know from old books i have read that a real magician is 'acting' as a magician. and if he really believes he can make things vanish, then the audience will believe as well.
if that makes any sense. i have watched other magicians both on dvd and live. but like everything in life you have to train to do something properly.
i willleave further blogs as i progress.

Welcome! I'm a new member too, but I've been acting for a couple of years, and I think that what you have read has some very valid points. In my assumption, I would say that it is probably 30% skill and 70% believing it (i.e. CONFIDENCE!). I, in fact, saw a busker magician yesterday, and I've seen him a few times and know his act all the way through, but each time he still manages to amaze me! Best of luck with the new career choice!!
