Two years ago, I graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, after four years studying acting at Playwrights Horizons Theater School and Stonestreet Film & T.V. Studio. I graduated along with several hundred other young, excited actors, who were ready to hit the streets of New York City and take the world of theatre by storm.

I am desperately looking to get my new website into FOX's exec's hands, as I am trying to get cast as Jared Booth in the series "Bones". My new website, www.dannyhadyen.com , launched just this morning, and I would really really appreciate it if anyone would help in getting this post to the gang at Bones Casting or through FOX. I am not only a very dedicated actor, but really Love the show.

Well so i have finally made the big step towards my career, and i am auditioning at a acting school tomorrow. I have no experience at all. But i hope they will accept me and then hopefully ill get to learn how to be great and then become famous. High hopes i know, but i used to take professional singing classes. and even though everyone says my voice is great i just dont have the confidence to sing infront of thousands of people yet. so i figure that perhaps ill start out as an actress and then when im used to the attention ill start singing. i dont know.

Hello fellow actors...just wanted to put this question out to hear other thoughts about it. I was recently cast for a touring production and will be in and out of my city for 2 months. I'm excited about touring but I have my own apt (no room mate) and during the tour I can't work my other job so I'm worried about losing my apt and not having enough money to pay for rent. The Theater company will pay but it's definitely not enough to cover rent and daily expenses. How does an actor survive when touring? Should I take this job, give up my apt and come back homeless, or let it go?

Hiya Chad...great advice as always.

I've got nothing but contempt for 'pseudo agents' who charge hundreds or thousands to fleece their 'talent'.

Having said that, I worked in my own agent's office for a bit, and seeing what she went through, I'd feel justified in charging a small one-time filing fee. It's crazy having to juggle a few hundred actors, and submit them everywhere (luckily we're able to email submissions now, so that's less $$$)...but I definitely wouldn't be one of these sharks that say "PHOTOS ONLY $500!!!"

Best, KK

Chad, Not to beat a dead horse but i wanted to elaborate on what you have just written about projection. If an actor is auditioning for their break into the professional world and have not trained their voice to be "heard" they are in serious trouble. In theatre primarily a voice that can fill a space with what seems like little effort from the actor is music to a casting directors ears.
